Terms of Service

Draft, pending legal review. This page is a working draft written to cover WireTab's current waitlist and its planned service. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should be reviewed before it is relied on as a binding agreement, especially the sections covering payments, liability, and governing law.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By joining the WireTab waitlist, visiting this site, or using the WireTab application once it launches, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use WireTab.

2. Description of Service

WireTab is a wireless bar tab platform. It lets a person open a tab at one venue, carry that tab to other participating venues, and pay it all from their phone when they are done. It also gives venues tools to manage tabs opened through WireTab. These Terms cover the waitlist described on this site today and the WireTab application once it becomes available.

3. Eligibility

You must be of legal age to purchase alcohol in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into these Terms, to join the waitlist or use WireTab.

4. The Waitlist

Joining the waitlist is free and voluntary. It does not guarantee access to WireTab or reserve you a spot ahead of anyone else. We will use the contact information you submit to let you know when WireTab becomes available in your area and to ask about the venues you would like to see supported.

5. Accounts and Use of the Service

Once WireTab launches, using it may require creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You agree to use WireTab only for lawful purposes and only for your own tabs, not to open or manage a tab on someone else's behalf without their consent.

6. Payments

Charges made through WireTab are processed by a third party payment provider. Tabs must be paid according to the policies each venue communicates at the time you start a tab there, including any automatic close out and gratuity terms. A separate Payment and Dispute Policy with full detail will be published before payments go live.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use WireTab to commit fraud or avoid a payment obligation you owe a venue
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to WireTab's systems
Impersonate another person, business, or venue
Use WireTab in a way that violates any applicable law

8. Intellectual Property

The WireTab name, logo, and the content on this site belong to WireTab. You may not use them without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

WireTab, including the waitlist, is provided as is and without warranties of any kind. WireTab is under active development, and features described on this site may change before launch.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WireTab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the waitlist or the WireTab application.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as WireTab develops. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify people on the waitlist by email.
